Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated and experienced MS Teams Rooms Engineer/Architect Role to join one of our client companies. To be successful in this role, you should have solid expertise in the configuration, deployment, and management of Teams Rooms for a large enterprise with hundreds of Teams Rooms deployed globally. Your responsibility will be to ensure that their Teams environment is configured optimally and maintained effectively.

The candidates applying for this role must have expertise in the latest versions of Teams Rooms and hardware interoperability, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and support these technologies effectively. Moreover, you will be responsible for designing and implementing network and security solutions for Teams Rooms, monitoring, and maintaining performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and developing and maintaining documentation related to configuration, deployment, and management.

That said, candidates must have strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

This role also requires a deep understanding of network protocols, security best practices, virtualization technologies, and enterprise-level management tools for device management and monitoring. Candidates must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Teams Rooms. By working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, this individual will ensure that Teams Rooms are deployed and managed optimally, providing an efficient and effective collaboration solution for users across the enterprise.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, such as computer science or information technology.
  • Extensive experience in configuring, deploying, and managing Microsoft Teams Rooms, including large-scale enterprise environments with over a thousand rooms.
  • Expertise in the latest versions of Microsoft Teams Rooms software and hardware, including the ability to configure, troubleshoot and support these technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform and integrations with Teams Rooms
  • Experience with the design and implementation of network and security solutions for Teams Rooms
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and security best practices.
  • Knowledge of video conferencing systems and protocols, including SIP and H.323
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation for Teams Rooms management
  • Knowledge of enterprise-level management tools for device management and monitoring, such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Intune.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory management and deployment.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Teams Rooms.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while managing multiple priorities and projects.

Responsibilities of the Desired Teams Rooms Expert Role:

  • Design, implement, and manage the Microsoft Teams Rooms environment for the client company.
  • Configure and deploy Teams Rooms software and hardware, including integrations with Microsoft 365 platform.
  • Develop and implement network and security solutions for Teams Rooms, including firewalls, network segmentation, and access controls.
  • Monitor and maintain remote work performance, including uptime, network bandwidth, and call quality.
  • Manage Teams Rooms devices through enterprise-level management tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Intune.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Teams Rooms, both remotely and on-site, in a timely and effective manner.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to Teams Rooms configuration, deployment, and management.
  • Implement and manage Teams Rooms automation scripts using PowerShell.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including IT teams and executive sponsors.
  • Participate in project planning and execution related to Teams Rooms, providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in Teams Rooms and related technologies and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in messaging and technical solutions.
  • Train and mentor other IT staff on Teams Rooms configuration, deployment, and management
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to Teams configuration, deployment, and management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in the Microsoft Teams environment.
