Location: Remote Report to: Executive Vice President / CEO Position Type: Part Time Hourly Start Date: ASAP Nationality: ANY Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a PMO Director role. The WME PMO Director is accountable for overseeing the smooth delivery of projects in the Professional Services Division in accordance with the strategy set forth in the WME PMO Council. Importantly, the person will ideally have an information technology background in the IT Services space! We require someone who has done large projects around the Microsoft stack.
The PMO Director leads a team of remote project management staff, providing guidance and mentoring as needed. In addition, the PMO Director interfaces with the WME Leadership team and customers’ management teams for escalations and issue resolution.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can work effectively in dynamic conditions and within deadlines. Note: This is an hourly part time role to run our PMO!
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience leading remote, enterprise-level IT PMO organizations and project teams across multiple disciplines.
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in project management, Business, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- PMI PMP and or PGMP certifications in good standing.
- Demonstrate successful delivery of a mixture of highly complex, large-scale customer-facing programs to small-scale projects.
- Experienced in Portfolio Management, Process Management, and Service Delivery (ITIL v3, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Experienced in multiple PM Methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SDLC, etc.).
- Familiar with Windows Management Expert processes.
- Proven ability to interface with senior leadership teams.
- Strong grasp of Windows products & technologies.
- Superior customer communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage vendors.
Responsibilities of the Desired PMO Director:
- Staffs and manages a team of remote program/project managers.
- Leads the WME PMO Council and is the first point of escalations for project-related issues.
- Mentors and guides the project team and other WME staff members in PMO-related principles, processes, and methodologies.
- Oversees successful delivery of program/project managers’ workload both for Professional Services engagements and internal WME projects.
