Windows Management Experts (WME) is seeking a motivated, customer-oriented MS SharePoint Migration Expert role for one of our valued clients. This will be a 6-12 months long remote responsibility of migrating SharePoint 2010/2013 to SharePoint 2016. The selected candidate should expect to work 40 hours per week.
Our new resource will be judged based on her command at communication skills as she’ll be working with multiple clients simultaneously by directly logging into client systems under their supervision. So it will require some great people handling from her.
The person we are looking for should be able to plan and implement SharePoint migrations in a large environment covering tens of thousands of endpoints. One of her key responsibilities will be to rewrite InfoPath for workflows using SharePoint Designer. She will be responsible for providing Tier II support for Microsoft Office 365 including Exchange email, SharePoint and Skype.
The perfect candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate proficiency with the design, implementation and support of MS SharePoint solutions and exhibit strong technical aptitude as well as project management, documentation and problem solving skills.
In fact, the person will be a part of a larger technical team that is supposed to work in active collaboration to solve complex problems for the organization. It will require familiarity with operating systems, and strong analytical skills, a sharp sense of logic, splendid problem-solving skills, and an orientation to detail.

Must Have Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience with migrating to SharePoint 2016.
- At least 3 years of experience with designing and implementing Microsoft Office 365, Exchange Server, SharePoint and Active Directory.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with Computer Science or Information Systems as its major coursework.
- Direct experience migrating from SharePoint on-premise/hosted to SharePoint online through various migration methods (Cutover, Staged, Hybrid)
- Solid troubleshooting skills.
- Consulting experience with large-scale migrations to Microsoft SharePoint 2016/online.
- Experience with provisioning a virtual cloud service environment.
- Proficient with PowerShell, PowerShell Workflow and troubleshooting PowerShell ISE.
- ITIL v3 foundation knowledge.
- Experience with the most current version of Remedy ITSM.
- Familiarity with cloud system engineering principles and techniques.
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft collaboration stack Office 365.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills with a special focus on listening to accurately assess & document stakeholders’ needs and business use cases.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with MS SharePoint migrations.

- Enough experience with Microsoft Government Computing Cloud (GCC) Migrations or Microsoft Commercial Cloud migrations.
Responsibilities of the MS SharePoint Contractor:
- Analyzes customer needs, documents requirements, and designs technical solutions for required migrations.
- Designs and implements Office 365 and related technologies including Exchange Online, Exchange Server, SharePoint, and MS Active Directory.
- Provides Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and Active Directory Synchronization.
- Serves as the technical lead and subject matter expert on SharePoint migrations.
- Assists in training end-users during all upgrade phases.
- Leads technical meetings and discussions.
- Preempts to handle difficult personnel situations and find innovative solutions.
- Timely resolution of problems. Work schedules may have to be adjusted for non-primetime maintenance windows.
- Identifies, analyzes, and documents stakeholder needs and defines a solution scope that can feasibly be implemented by the technical teams.
- Works with stakeholders to identify requirements and ensures that they are rightly understood, rather than solely relying on the customers’ stated needs.
- Effectively communicates between business units, support teams and technology teams.
