Microsoft Dynamics 365 Engineer (Finance and Operations)
Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated and experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations) Engineer Role to join one of our client companies for a 2–3-month role. This position requires a strong technical background and in-depth knowledge of the Dynamics 365 platform, with a focus on the Finance and Operations modules. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, reliable, and high-quality solutions that meet clients’ needs and requirements.
The ideal candidate for this job must have experience working in a team environment and be familiar with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. They must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to communicate effectively, and possess a strong work ethic. The candidate should also have a deep understanding of the latest industry and regulatory standards, such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
More importantly, the perfect candidate should have excellent presentation, communication, leadership, and client development skills to effectively present information to C-level management, public groups, and/or the board of directors. The candidate should have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, attention to quality, self-motivation, and a strong desire to succeed.
Also, the successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who can work effectively in dynamic conditions and within deadlines. That said, the preferred candidate should expect to work 40 hours per week and should be flexible enough to work part-time hours as well.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- Expert-level knowledge and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, including configuration, customization, integration, and deployment.
- Experience in implementing financial and accounting modules in Dynamics 365, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash and Bank Management.
- Ability to develop and maintain complex workflows and business processes using Microsoft Power Automate.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and experience in creating and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Expertise in designing and developing reports using Microsoft Power BI and SSRS.
- Experience in designing and implementing security models for Dynamics 365, including role-based security and data security.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps for version control and managing project artifacts.
- Experience in integrating Dynamics 365 with other enterprise systems, such as SAP or Salesforce.
- Ability to design and develop custom forms and fields using coding knowledge.
- Expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting of Dynamics 365 applications.
- Experience in designing and developing custom integrations using Azure Logic Apps and Service Bus.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS) for managing Dynamics 365 projects and environments.
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and experience working in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities of the Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations) Expert:
- Serve as Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations) Subject Matter Expert, with technical expertise including system architecture, solution design, and system configuration.
- Serve as clients’ main point of contact throughout all project phases, effectively manage associated issues and risks and ensure on-time and implementation delivery that meets clients’ needs and requirements.
- Should be able to coordinate and guide team(s) and get the work done.
- Present tailored demonstrations of the Architecting and designing solution.
- Develop and maintain project plans and schedules, ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines, and report progress to project stakeholders.
- Conduct functional and technical requirements gathering sessions with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Lead the design and development of customizations and integrations with Dynamics 365 using tools such as Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
- Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards, such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), during all project phases.
- Manage multiple project tracks concurrently and provide regular status updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Conduct training sessions and prepare user manuals and training materials to ensure end-users are proficient in using Dynamics 365 features and functionalities.
- Should be able to code as needed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and project team members to design and implement the enterprise Microsoft Dynamics solution ensuring reliable and high quality.
- Mentor the junior developers and help build the knowledge base.
- Ensure timely resolution of problems.
