Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated & experienced Offshore Meraki Network Engineer to join our team and collaborate with other technicians to support our clients’ network refresh. As an Offshore Meraki Network Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and troubleshooting networking and wireless technologies for our clients.
The responsibilities of the Meraki engineer will include promoting a positive security culture for the organization by protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and assets while assisting the company to successfully meet its strategic goals.
That said, you will actively participate in the identification and resolution of complex network issues, leveraging your knowledge of Meraki networking. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable network solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will also play a key role in conducting network assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with Computer Science, Network Security, or Network Architecture as its major coursework.
- 4+ years’ experience implementing and troubleshooting Networking.
- 4+ years’ experience implementing Wireless technologies.
- Experience with CCNA or equivalent certification
- Understanding of 802.11 networks and protocols 802.11n/ac/ax
- Experience supporting Meraki implementations remotely utilizing the Meraki dashboard.
- Experience troubleshooting RF and wireless issues.
- Knowledge in switching configuration, troubleshooting, and installation specifically on Cisco and Meraki switches.
- Basic understanding of 802.1x security
- Ability to work in a team environment with other engineers.
- Quick learner with the ability to work with very little oversight beyond high-level direction.
- Excellent communication skills with a special focus on listening to accurately assess & document stakeholders’ needs and business use cases.
- Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills.
- Sound conversational and negotiating skills.
Responsibilities of the Desired Meraki Network Engineer:
- Serves as the technical lead and subject matter expert on Meraki Networking and troubleshooting.
- Designs and implements configuration changes on behalf of our customers, following the accepted change management process.
- Identifies, analyzes, and documents Meraki Engineering and operational needs and defines a feasible Firewall management plan.
- Develops and maintains network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to evaluate, test, and implement new Meraki networking technologies, features, and software upgrades.
- Monitors and troubleshoots network performance, analyzing network traffic and utilization patterns, and implementing optimizations to improve overall network efficiency.
- Implements Meraki network security measures, such as access control policies, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and VPN configurations.
- Provides training and knowledge transfer to junior team members and end-users.
- Works with the Datacenter Engineers and Security teams to add routes, troubleshoot complex networking issues, and make recommendations on configurations, etc.
- Evaluates & documents the Meraki firewall policy and administration.
- Creates Meraki firewall rules & objects.
- Leads technical meetings and discussions.
- Contributes to the design of new fully managed customer solutions, advising the architects where required.
- Assists with the onboarding of newly Managed customers.
- Provides Service Managers with technical support during customer escalations.
