Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated and experienced JAMF/MAC Specialist/Consultant Role to join one of our client companies. As the lead role, you’ll be responsible for managing the company’s macOS Hardware and Software environment remotely. That said, this will be a 6+ month responsibility covering the JAMF Pro configuration, architecture, and troubleshooting of all endpoint-related systems and software, while also managing the day-to-day operations of their infrastructure.
This JAMF/Mac consultant will work within our IT Operations team and will serve primarily to curate, maintain, and improve company standards. Moreover, you will respond to escalations from L2 and L3 support, automate workflows, administer JAMF Pro Cloud, configure 3rd party software, and assist the network security teams to ensure the best user experience for our users. You’ll also respond quickly to security threats, distribute settings, and analyze inventory data.
For this, you should have abundant hands-on experience with macOS & iOS. You should also have expertise in building and managing content (.pkg, .mpkg, and .dmg packages) for deployment to computers. Also, you should have the know-how of scripting (Bash) and managing ownership and permissions (POSIX, ACE/ACL) on computers.
Also, the successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who can work independently without strict supervision and within deadlines. That said, the preferred candidate should expect to work 40 hours per week and should be flexible enough to work part-time hours as well.
Must-Have Experience & Skills:
- 6-12 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Enterprise macOS engineering & support experience.
- Extensive JAMF Pro experience specifically with Casper Admin, Casper Composer, and Casper Remote.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Subject matter expertise with macOS/JAMF engineering and management.
- JAMF 200 certification: JAMF Certified Tech (preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of the macOS file system.
- Extensive knowledge of Apple’s software update process
- macOS security hardening experience.
- Expertise with imaging macOS computers.
- JAMF Self-Service knowledge.
- Administrative experience with Windows and/or Unix platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to develop customized solutions to meet specific business requirements of different clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.

Responsibilities of the Desired JAMF/MAC Specialist:
- Serves as the macOS and JAMF Pro subject matter expert and final escalation point for technical support teams.
- Maintains and regularly reviews JAMF Pro management platform infrastructure design and operations, architecting and executing due changes in accordance with company policy and security requirements.
- Manages macOS software requests and integrates software packages into JAMF.
- Creates and tests software installation packages for macOS.
- Publishes Mac apps into the App Portal.
- Documents installation steps & procedures of new software installations, client management platform design, and support process workflows.
- Troubleshoots macOS software installations that don’t work.
- Creates a checkout procedure/documentation to test new macOS software installations.
- Maintains client management platform availability using monitoring tools while proactively responding to operational risks via automated response mechanisms.
- Engineers, pilots, and implements upgrades and improvements to client device provisioning workflows in a hybrid identity environment.
- Creates and maintains application packages and scripts utilized in client provisioning operations, client fleet deployments, and end-user self-service catalogs.
- Works with security teams to maintain and update client security baselines, automates patch/update schedules, and responds to critical vulnerability threats.
- Cooperates with business developers to evaluate, suggest, and implement innovations for business growth.
- Ensures timely resolution of problems.
