Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a highly skilled Windows 365 Consultant Role for one of our clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of virtual desktop infrastructure, collaborating with clients to design and implement cutting-edge Windows 365 solutions. Ultimately, you will play a pivotal role to enhance the flexibility, scalability, and security of businesses offered by cloud-based virtual desktops.

As a Windows 365 Consultant, you will be at the forefront of deploying and managing virtual desktop environments, harnessing the power of Microsoft Azure and Windows 365 to deliver seamless and secure computing experiences. You will work closely with clients, understanding their unique business requirements and tailoring Windows 365 solutions to their needs.

Moreover, your expertise in configuring virtual desktops, integrating with existing infrastructure and ensuring optimal performance will be essential in providing a smooth transition to cloud-based virtualization. Your ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely support will ensure uninterrupted operations and client satisfaction.

That said, this role demands a deep technical understanding of Windows 365, Azure infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and desktop deployment methodologies. Your proficiency in scripting and automation will streamline administrative tasks and enhance efficiency. You will be responsible for implementing robust security measures, ensuring data protection, and compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with Computer Science or Information Systems as its major coursework.
  • Proficient in deploying and managing Windows 365 environments, including provisioning user accounts, configuring virtual desktops, and establishing network connectivity.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services, with the ability to leverage Azure Active Directory for seamless integration with Windows 365.
  • Experienced in designing and implementing secure access controls and policies for Windows 365 deployments, ensuring data protection and compliance with industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, including Hyper-V and Azure Virtual Desktop, to optimize the performance and scalability of Windows 365 environments.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Windows 365, such as virtual machine failures, connectivity problems, and application compatibility challenges.
  • Familiarity with desktop deployment methodologies, such as image management, application packaging, and software distribution, to streamline the deployment process for Windows 365.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory services, enabling efficient management of user identities, group policies, and domain integration within Windows 365.
  • Proficient in PowerShell to automate administrative tasks, configure system settings, and monitor the health and performance of Windows 365 environments.
  • Experience in conducting capacity planning and resource optimization for Windows 365.
  • Familiarity with data backup and disaster recovery strategies for Windows 365 environments.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and firewall configurations, enabling successful network integration and connectivity for Windows 365 deployments.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security solutions and best practices, including antivirus software, firewalls, encryption, etc.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem and integration capabilities.

  • Sound conversational and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities of the Windows 365 Consultant:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and design customized Windows 365 solutions to meet their virtual desktop needs.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing IT infrastructures to determine the feasibility and compatibility of implementing Windows 365 deployments.
  • Plan and execute Windows 365 deployment projects, including creating project timelines and ensuring successful implementations.
  • Configure and optimize Windows 365 environments, including virtual machine settings, network configurations, and security policies, to deliver optimal performance and user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Windows 365 within the existing IT ecosystem.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and implement user provisioning and management processes for Windows 365, ensuring efficient onboarding, offboarding, and access control procedures.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows 365 deployments.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance metrics and logs, proactively identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in evaluating and selecting appropriate hardware, software, and licensing requirements for Windows 365 deployments.
  • Participate in change management processes, including testing, implementing, and documenting changes to Windows 365 environments while minimizing disruption to end users.
  • Collaborate with vendors and support teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues related to Windows 365.
  • Ensures timely resolution of problems.
