Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated, experienced Remote Software Engineer Role to join our team for a long-term contract that could span over years.
The new resource will be responsible to design, develop and maintain software technology for our clients. Also, the individual is expected to use technical skills and apply the principles of software engineering to help solve new and ongoing problems for our client’s organization.
We are looking for a resource with a desire to initiate and lead our entrepreneurial endeavors to improve programming, testing, and operational excellence within the projects. For this, we need the candidate to have solid Java Spring Boot experience and Python coding experience.
That said, we need the candidate to enhance our applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems. That said, the candidate should demonstrate great skill in creativity and innovation, the ability to thrive in a pressure environment, and possess excellent communication skills.
Moreover, the successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who can work effectively in dynamic conditions and within deadlines. That said, the preferred candidate should expect to work 40 hours per week and should be flexible enough to work part-time hours as well.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology as its major coursework.
- 3+ years of experience working as a software engineer at an established organization.
- Strong grip over programming concepts like Object Oriented Programming, Data structures, Web Engineering, and Algorithms.
- Expertise with Java Spring Boot and Python.
- Hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot and python programming and application development.
- Experience with and grip over the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Ability to write new solutions and improve existing functionality within the company’s products.
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases (SQL)
- Experience with test-driven development
- Proficiency in software engineering tools
- Debugging skills to improve our source code and provide fixes.
- Ability to train junior developers and team members.
- Experience in translating functional / non-functional requirements to system requirements.
- Strong know-how of source control and versioning.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility with supporting mission-critical, 24×7 projects.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to network with key contacts outside their area of expertise.
- Sound conversational and negotiating skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge/experience in containerization.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform and code shipping.
Responsibilities of the Remote Software Engineer:
- Works as a subject matter expert Software Engineer for our client organization.
- Executes full software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Develops flowcharts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
- Writes well-designed, testable code.
- Interprets client’s business processes and designs top-quality applications through programming to meet overall business requirements.
- Develops software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
- Troubleshoots, debugs, and upgrades existing systems.
- Ensure software is updated with the latest features.
- Participates in software architectural discussions, influencing decisions, and collaborating with peers to maintain consistency across the organization
- Facilitates communication around and participates in architecture, design, and implementation objectives
- Understands and presents a technical vision and solutions in the form of modules, customizations, and integrations.
- Leads the design-delivery of an integrated application that meets the client’s vision.
