Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a Project Manager (Cyber Security) role. The Project Manager shall be the primary technical point of contact for this project and be responsible for ensuring all requirements of the contract are met. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity projects within our client’s organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
In this role, you will play a critical role in protecting the organization’s assets from cyber threats and will be expected to maintain knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in cybersecurity. You should have certification(s) in project management, such as PMP, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant project management. Previous experience with successfully managing a cybersecurity program in a significant size organization is also essential.
That said, you should possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity risks and threats, as well as the ability to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. You will be responsible for managing the procurement process for cybersecurity tools and services, conducting risk assessments, and developing risk mitigation strategies. You will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards, regulations, and policies, and for ensuring clear and consistent communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Project Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university required.
- Certification(s) in project management (e.g., PMP).
- 5+ Years of experience and knowledge of relevant project
- Previous experience with successfully managing a Cybersecurity program in a federal agency or other comparable organization.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure the successful delivery of cybersecurity projects.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as executive sponsors, project team members, and external vendors, to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to address potential threats to the cybersecurity project.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues, proactively developing and implementing corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards, regulations, and policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create and manage project documentation, including status reports, project charters, and stakeholder communications, to ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the project.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process improvements and best practices for cybersecurity project management.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing to build a high-performing team.
Responsibilities of the Desired Project Manager:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables for cybersecurity initiatives.
- Conduct regular project reviews and provide guidance to the project team to ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones.
- Manage the procurement process for cybersecurity tools and services, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
- Work with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize cybersecurity risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Facilitate regular communication and reporting with project sponsors and stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed of project status, risks, and issues.
- Monitor project expenses against the budget and adjust spending as necessary to ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in cybersecurity and apply them to improve project outcomes and deliverables.
- Develop and implement project governance processes, including risk management, issue management, and change management.
- Conduct regular training and awareness sessions for project team members and stakeholders to ensure they understand the importance of cybersecurity and their role in protecting organizational assets.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements, throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project dependencies and identify opportunities for cross-functional collaboration to optimize project outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies and industry associations, to stay informed of emerging cybersecurity trends and requirements.
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging team members to share ideas and experiment with new approaches to cybersecurity project management.
