Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for an experienced Program Manager role for one of our valued clients. The Program Manager will report to the Director of Information Security, to implement and operationalize Sensitive Data Protection (SDP) program.

This program directly supports a Data-Centric Security approach and will facilitate many tasks including Digital Rights Management to the life cycle of sensitive data, timely discovery of unprotected sensitive data, and ensuring only the right people or machines access the right assets at the right time for the right reasons.

Our client company delivers agile, continuous business and system improvements in a federated environment that promotes autonomy while adhering to standards, governance, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Program Manager will operate in a collaborative, multi-functional manner, with shared accountability to deliver against the overall Data and IT Strategies, driving towards an improved level of data maturity and digital innovation.

The Program Manager shall be the primary technical point of contact for this project and be responsible for ensuring all requirements of the contract are met. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of the whole program within our client’s organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Project Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university required.
  • Certification(s) in program management
  • 5+ Years of experience and knowledge of relevant project management.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing complex data-security-centric programs within large organizations.
  • Strong understanding of data protection regulations and industry best practices, such as GDPR, CCPA, and ISO 27001.
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards related to sensitive data protection.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, compliance, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment and successful program execution.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and the ability to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with data classification frameworks and the ability to develop and maintain data classification schemes.
  • Experience in evaluating and implementing data loss prevention (DLP) solutions and technologies.
  • Knowledge of encryption techniques and encryption key management best practices.

Responsibilities of the Desired Program Manager:

  • Drive the implementation and operationalization of the Sensitive Data Protection (SDP) program, ensuring adherence to data security principles.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the timely discovery of unprotected sensitive data, leveraging cutting-edge tools and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to sensitive data protection, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact the successful delivery of the SDP program, employing robust risk management methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of data security and privacy awareness within the organization, conducting training sessions and promoting best practices.
  • Monitor program performance and track key metrics to assess program effectiveness, providing regular reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as executive sponsors, project team members, and external vendors, to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to ensure that the SDP program meets compliance requirements and participate in audit activities as necessary.
  • Lead incident response efforts related to sensitive data breaches or security incidents, coordinating with relevant teams to minimize the impact and implement remediation measures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the SDP program, evaluating existing processes, tools, and technologies, and identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
