Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated & experienced Network Engineer Role to join one of our valued clients for a migration implementation project. As the lead network engineer, you’ll use your extensive technical expertise to design network architecture solutions.
The ideal candidate for this job will have a strong background in network and firewall management. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring network and firewall configurations, ensuring optimal performance and security. You will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining cloud monitoring tools to help identify and resolve potential issues.
As a network engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing the environment configuration and hierarchy, recommending network security groups (NSGs) and application security groups (ASGs), developing network configurations in line with Zero Trust Standards, and developing an approach for network segmentation.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- At least 5 years of experience focused on complex networking solutions, data center technologies, or a related field in addition to management consulting experience.
- Track record in creating and closing opportunities not just in traditional areas like Strategy, Cloud, and Digital, but also in Networking and Data Center modernization.
- Expert proficiency in financial modeling, including CAPEX/OPEX calculations specific to network and data center transformations.
- Possession of a CCMP Level certification or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Azure networking and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in VPN troubleshooting and configuration.
- Strong knowledge of BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
- Proficiency in network security principles and best practices.
- Strong capacity for conceptualizing and implementing groundbreaking solutions.
- A strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
- Extensive experience leading complex networking projects from inception to completion.
- A commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional client relationship management skills with a history of establishing rapport with them.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Ansible) for network tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving network-related issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities of the Desired Network Engineer:
- Design and maintain complex network configurations i.e. routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Ensure network security by implementing access controls and security policies.
- Monitor network performance and identify and resolve network-related problems.
- Collaborate with system administrators to support network connectivity for various applications.
- Configure VPNs and remote access solutions to ensure secure connectivity.
- Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades and expansion projects.
- Maintains network documentation i.e. network diagrams, configuration records, etc.
- Stay current with industry best practices.
- Conduct regular network assessments and audits to ensure compliance with standards.
- Provide technical support both on-site and remotely.
- Implement network backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate new network services.
- Train junior network engineers and team members.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other services.
