Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated & experienced Network Administrator Role to join the Office of Innovation and Technology for one of our valued clients overseeing the Health industry. The ideal candidate for this job will have a strong background in network administration and firewall management. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring network and firewall configurations, ensuring optimal performance and security.
As a network administrator, you will be responsible for reviewing the environment configuration and hierarchy, recommending network security groups (NSGs) and application security groups (ASGs), developing core network configurations in line with Zero Trust Standards, and developing an approach for network segmentation.
In this role, you will also develop an action plan to address known process deficiencies and configure/design workflow templates to facilitate incident handling. You will also monitor the incident queue to ensure tickets are being addressed and troubleshoot problems within your defined areas. That said, you will provide information on components and services availability, capacity, and performance metrics, and report incidents and complicated issues related to management and other IT resources, as appropriate.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- Experience with configuring and managing virtual private networks (VPNs) for secure remote access to network resources.
- Knowledge of routing and switching protocols, such as OSPF, BGP, and VLANs.
- Familiarity with network security best practices, including firewall rules and access control lists (ACLs).
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms including Azure and AWS.
- Experience with configuring and managing intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS).
- Knowledge of network performance optimization techniques, such as Quality of Service (QoS) and WAN optimization.
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory configuration and management.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automating network and server configuration tasks.
- Expertise with service architecture, design, resource configuration, and business impact of events and symptoms.
- Disaster recovery activities, such as executing system failover scripts.
- Experience with managing network devices, such as routers, switches, and access points, from multiple vendors.
- Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark, PRTG, and SolarWinds.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare industry compliance requirements.
- Understanding of network virtualization technologies, such as software-defined networking (SDN) and network functions virtualization (NFV).
- Knowledge of network segmentation and micro-segmentation techniques for improved security and traffic control.

Responsibilities of the Network Administrator:
- Configure and manage virtual private networks (VPNs) to provide secure remote access to network resources.
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and access points from multiple vendors.
- Configure and optimize routing and switching protocols, such as OSPF, BGP, and VLANs, to ensure efficient network traffic flow.
- Implement network security best practices, including firewall rules and access control lists (ACLs), to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Manage cloud computing platforms such as Azure and AWS to ensure secure and reliable access to resources.
- Configure and manage intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS) to identify and prevent potential network threats.
- Monitor network performance and implement optimization techniques such as Quality of Service (QoS) and WAN optimization to ensure efficient network operation.
- Manage Windows Server and Active Directory to ensure seamless integration with the network.
- Create and maintain documentation related to network configurations, including diagrams, procedures, and policies.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies, including executing system failover scripts, to minimize network downtime and data loss.
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution to minimize the impact on users and systems.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations, such as HIPAA, through the implementation of appropriate security controls and procedures.
- Design and implement network segmentation and micro-segmentation techniques to improve security and traffic control.
- Monitor network performance and usage trends to identify potential bottlenecks or capacity issues and take appropriate action to mitigate them.
- Stay up to date with emerging network technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve the network infrastructure.
