Windows Management Experts (WME) is seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Microsoft SharePoint Migration/Development Engineer role for one of our valued clients. This will be a 12-month-long remote responsibility covering two projects with each one spanning over 6 months. The main skills we are looking for include SharePoint Solution Architecture, modernization of SharePoint by moving it to the cloud, solid expertise in React, and proficiency with Docx architecture.
The perfect candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate proficiency with the design, implementation and support of MS SharePoint solutions and exhibit strong technical aptitude as well as project management, documentation, and problem-solving skills. We need your services to develop SharePoint Sites, Apps, and Automation. With proven experience in the SharePoint development framework, the candidate must also be proficient in migrations to SharePoint Online.
That said, you should be able to plan and implement SharePoint migrations in a large environment covering thousands of endpoints. One of the key responsibilities here will be to rewrite InfoPath for workflows using SharePoint Designer. In fact, you will be a part of a larger technical team that is supposed to work in active collaboration to solve complex problems for the organization.
Lastly, WME is looking for some exceptional interpersonal skills in our new team member. The candidate’s toolbox must be complete and diverse. Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with Computer Science or Information Systems as its major coursework, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing SharePoint-based solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint Online (SPO), and SharePoint Server 2019/2016/2013.
- Expertise in migrating SharePoint on-premises solutions to SharePoint Online (SPO).
- In-depth knowledge of SharePoint authentication mechanisms such as Active Directory, ADFS, and OAuth.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting to automate SharePoint administrative tasks.
- Expertise in integrating SharePoint with other systems using APIs, web services, and event receivers.
- Ability to design and implement SharePoint governance and information architecture plans to ensure a scalable and maintainable SharePoint environment.
- Experience with configuring and customizing SharePoint search using search scopes, managed properties, and result sources.
- Thorough understanding of SharePoint security, including permissions, groups, and roles.
- Experience in developing custom SharePoint web parts and extensions using the JavaScript framework, React.
- Solid troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with provisioning a virtual cloud service environment.
- Familiarity with cloud system engineering principles and techniques.
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft collaboration stack Office 365.

Responsibilities of the Microsoft SharePoint Engineer:
- Lead the deployment and configuration of SharePoint solutions and features, including site collections, web applications, and service applications.
- Design and implement custom SharePoint workflows using tools such as SharePoint Designer and Power Automate.
- Assist in the migration of non-SharePoint content and applications to SharePoint Online.
- Develop custom SharePoint branding using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define and implement SharePoint governance policies and best practices.
- Perform SharePoint farm and server-level administration tasks, including patching and upgrading SharePoint servers.
- Research and recommend new SharePoint-related technologies and tools to improve system performance, security, and functionality.
- Develop and maintain project plans, technical designs, and other project-related documentation.
- Analyzes customer needs, documents requirements, and designs technical solutions for required migrations.
- Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on SharePoint migrations.
- Assist in training end-users during all upgrade phases.
- Ensure Timely resolution of problems.
- Identify, analyze, and document stakeholder needs and defines a solution scope that can feasibly be implemented by the technical teams.
