Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated & experienced Microsoft Identity Engineer Role to join one of our valued clients. The resource should be a lower-level technical expert and should not be an architect-level engineer.

As a Microsoft Identity Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage identity solutions to meet our client’s unique needs. Your responsibilities include configuring and maintaining entitlement group management systems, leveraging advanced security tools like Defender for Identity and Azure Identity Protection, and actively contributing to our knowledge-sharing culture.

That said, you will implement and fine-tune Azure Identity Protection policies to safeguard against identity-based attacks. You will also develop and maintain Conditional Access policies to enforce security and compliance requirements.

Most importantly, WME is looking for some exceptional communication & interpersonal skills in our upcoming team member. The candidate’s toolbox must be complete and diverse. From being technically savvy to displaying a vigorous passion for learning beyond their traditional areas of expertise, the resource must prove to be an asset to the company.

Note: We require you to work 20 hours/week.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field i.e. computer science, information technology, or cybersecurity, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in entitlement group management, Defender for Identity, Azure Identity Protection, and Conditional Access.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Active Directory and related services i.e. Azure AD Connect, Azure AD B2B/B2C, Azure MFA, etc.
  • Experience with Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)
  • Familiarity with identity standards and protocols i.e. OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and LDAP.
  • Knowledge of identity governance and lifecycle management practices including role-based access control (RBAC) and identity lifecycle automation.
  • Competence in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Experience designing/implementing identity solutions that adhere to security standards.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Proficiency in documenting identity solutions, architectural designs, and operational procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility with supporting mission-critical, 24×7 projects.

Responsibilities of the Desired Microsoft Identity Engineer:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement identity solutions that meet our client’s business needs.
  • Configure and maintain entitlement group management systems. Ultimately, ensure access control is compliant.
  • Leverage Defender for Identity to proactively detect and respond to identity-related threats.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
  • Provide expert guidance to resolve complex IAM issues.
  • Document identity solutions and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide timely support for critical incidents.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Lead training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Assist in the evaluation and integration of new identity-related tools and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
