Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated and experienced Data Center Network Engineer Role to join one of our client companies. As the lead data center network engineer, you’ll use your extensive technical expertise to design network architecture solutions.

The person selected for this job will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, and maintaining the data center network architecture. That said, you will create network models and standards for various Network Center projects at our client organization.

With your drive to establish processes and lead technological innovation, you are expected to make a lasting impact on our client company. That said, the candidate should demonstrate great skill in creativity and innovation, the ability to thrive in a pressure environment, and possess excellent communication skills.

Also, the successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who can work effectively in dynamic conditions and within deadlines. That said, the preferred candidate should expect to work 40 hours per week and should be flexible enough to work part-time hours as well.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:

Expertise in Networking and Data Centers: At least 8 years of experience focused on complex networking solutions, data center technologies, or a related field in addition to management consulting experience.

Multi-Domain Proficiency: Track record in creating and closing opportunities not just in traditional areas like Strategy, Cloud, and Digital, but also in Networking and Data Center modernization.

Financial Acumen: Expert proficiency in financial modeling, including CAPEX/OPEX calculations specific to network and data center transformations.

Commercial Models: Experience in structuring deals that incorporate Networking and Data Center as a Service (NaaS, DaaS) alongside traditional consulting and managed services.

Communication Skills: High proficiency in articulating complex networking and data center solutions to both technical and non-technical senior executives.

Thought Leadership: Strong capacity for conceptualizing and implementing groundbreaking solutions. A constant desire to stay ahead of industry trends.

Security & Compliance Knowledge: A strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements with a proven track record in designing secure data center environments.

Project Management Skills: Extensive experience leading complex networking and data center projects from inception to completion.

Continuous Improvement Mindset: A commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives. A willingness to optimize performance and reduce operational costs.

Client Relationship Building: Exceptional client relationship management skills with a history of establishing rapport with clients.

Responsibilities of the Desired Data Centre Network Engineer:

  • Lead complex networking projects with the design and implementation of data center technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot networking and data center issues.
  • Build strong relationships with key technology vendors and ensure the selection of cutting-edge technologies.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and close opportunities in various domains i.e. Strategy, Cloud, Digital, Networking, and Data Center modernization.
  • Utilize expert financial acumen to create detailed financial models i.e. CAPEX/OPEX calculations.
  • Structure deals that encompass Networking and Data Center as a Service (NaaS, DaaS) alongside traditional consulting and managed services.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Lead the entire project lifecycle for networking and data center projects.
  • Exhibit exceptional client relationship management skills.
