Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a Cloud System Engineer role for one of our valued clients. We need the individual’s services at the Philadelphia Airport. Our new resource will be responsible for creating and managing resources on cloud platforms.
The Cloud System Engineer at WME will be responsible for handling and improving the architecture and delivery of the core AWS projects at the enterprise level. Our new resource is expected to deliver excellent cloud management using their hands-on experience with scaling technologies and solutions.
The person in this role will serve as our AWS IaaS subject matter expert. The primary objective of this position is to supply a stable, reliable, and secure environment, which perfectly aligns with and enhances the initiatives of WME. We are seeking a highly resourceful individual with effective coding skills for building and versioning infrastructure against multi-cloud. In fact, the successful candidate is responsible for completing the whole cloud workflow. From defining infrastructures in configuration files to planning & reviewing the changes that will be needed for every new endeavor to the organization’s infrastructure. Everything will be on that individual.
In fact, the person will be a part of a larger technical team that is supposed to work in active collaboration to solve complex problems for the organization. It will require a strong grip on Windows & Linux operating systems, and strong analytical skills, a sharp sense of logic, splendid problem-solving skills, and an orientation to detail.
In fact, WME is looking for some exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in the new team member. The candidate’s toolbox must be complete and diverse. From being technically savvy to displaying a vigorous passion for learning beyond his traditional areas of expertise, the resource must prove to be an asset to the company.
Must Have Experience:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Engineering and large-scale implementations on AWS.
- Must have experience in performing migrations to AWS Cloud.
- Must have experience in cloud architectures including web, application, and database components.
- Familiarity with network topology and technologies (VPC, Direct Connect, Route53, Load Balancers, etc.)
- Experience with automating environments using Infrastructure as Code. Terraform experience is preferred.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Expertise in all five pillars of Cloud Architecture Design- Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, and Cost Optimization.
- Expert in Architecture, design, provisioning, implementation, and delivery of scalable AWS solutions, with a focus on mapping across IaaS and PaaS.
- Must be willing to participate in technical design workshops for enterprise customers.
- Skilled in system-level architecture like Linux or Windows.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
- Must have knowledge of cloud system engineering principles and considerations.
- Must have strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure solutions including enterprise directories.
- Extended expertise in cloud-based DevOps practices in Terraform is preferred.
- Must be capable of communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical c-level executives, management and other team members.
Responsibilities of the Cloud System Engineer:
- Hands-on delivery of enterprise AWS solutions.
- Reviews and manages technical requirements and business functional requirements to establish new cloud platforms.
- Assists in designing AWS solutions to meet our clients’ technical, security, and business needs.
- Executes implementation plans to deploy AWS infrastructure and moves workloads to AWS.
- Assists in internal Service Delivery Framework and IP development Qualifications.
- Attends and assists in technical design workshops for enterprise customers.
- Designs and deploys the virtual machine environment, storage environment, network architecture and VPC environments.
- Designs and deploys Cloud applications.
- Guides the engineering team in the deployment of solutions and applications.
- Develops roadmaps for current and future cloud deployments.
- Ensures security is integrated into all AWS services.
- Improves cloud platform’s effectiveness to speed up delivery and augments product flexibility.
- Monitors, improves, and fixes cloud infrastructure on a day-to-day basis.
- Runs effective processes to troubleshoot diverse operational issues related to the cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborates with other organizational teams and key stakeholders to understand and contribute to user requirements and then implement customized solutions.
