Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for an experienced Azure DataBricks ETL App Developer with at least 3 years’ experience in Databricks ETL App Development. The individual will be working within a project management/agile delivery methodology in a leading role as part of a wider team. The individual will provide effective knowledge transfer and upskilling to relevant customer personnel to ensure an appropriate level of future self-sufficiency.
As a Data Engineer, you will work with multiple teams to deliver solutions on the Azure Cloud using core cloud data warehouse tools (Azure Databricks, SQL Server and other Big Data related technologies). In addition to building the next generation of application data platforms and/or improving recent implementations.
WME will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to maintain high-quality customer experience. The individual must have technical expertise, passion for learning beyond their JDs and a thorough understanding of business processes.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team to develop Cloud Data and Analytics solutions
- Participate in development of cloud data warehouses, data as a service, business intelligence solutions
- Ability to provide solutions that are forward-thinking in data and analytics
- Deliver a quality product
- Developing Modern Data Warehouse solutions using Azure Stack (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks)
Skills/Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in Azure Databricks – Mandatory
- Experience as Data Engineer in Azure Big Data Environment
- Expertise in ETL tools i.e. (SSIS, Data Stage)
- Expertise in Implementing Data Warehousing Solutions
- Experience with working in Agile (KANBAN, Scrumban) environment as part of a scrum team
- Programming experience in Scala or Python, T-SQL
- Hands-on experience in Azure stack (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory – Optional
- Good understanding of Azure Databricks platform and ability to build data analytics solutions to support the required performance & scale
- Good understanding and experience working on Deltalake using Apache Delta in Azure Databricks
- Experienced working on performance tuning and optimizing long running jobs
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly those that apply to a big data environment
- Good Understanding of Modern Data Warehouse and Data Warehousing concepts
- Proficient in a source code control system (e.g. CodeCloud)
- Knowledge of C# is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal skills (English)
