Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated and experienced Microsoft Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) Deployment Engineer Role to join one of our valued clients. The selected resource must have strong experience with and grip on SCCM/Intune/Autopilot and AIP/ATP.
The Unified Endpoint Management Engineer role will be responsible for the overall architecture and deployment of a UEM solution such as VMware Workspace One or Microsoft Intune, for the management of both client systems and mobile devices. This includes but is not limited to planning, design, implementation, and management of the entire architecture, infrastructure, and application.
That said, the resource must have strong expertise with the development and management of Microsoft Office 365 (Intune and Autopilot) and Microsoft Azur, and Active Directory management. The UEM Engineer will work directly with different sections of IT and the business to ensure our client company gains 100% adoption of all endpoints, both in and out of the office.
That said, WME is looking for some exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in our new team member. The candidate’s toolbox must be complete and diverse. From being technically savvy to displaying a vigorous passion for learning beyond their traditional areas of expertise, the resource must prove to be an asset to the company.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years working with Microsoft UEM.
- Proven expertise with SCCM/Intune/Autopilot and AIP/ATP.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with Computer Science, or Software Engineering as its major coursework, or equivalent experience.
- Outstanding knowledge and technical proficiency in managing an Endpoint Management solution.
- Experience with Infrastructure Design with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007/2012/Current in a medium-to-large environment.
- Experience designing, deploying, managing, and configuring virtual and physical workstation environments using Windows 10/11.
- Troubleshooting expertise with all aspects of the UEM solution effectively and understands the product flow encompassing software distribution, patch management, operating system deployment, and logging in detail.
- Strong grip on standard client/server, Networking, and Internet fundamentals.
- Experience with enterprise desktop deployments and management, including application package development and enterprise system computing.
- Ability to create and manage profiles, manage apps, and create compliance rules using an MDM platform (Intune/SCCM).
- Ability to create, troubleshoot, and run PowerShell scripts as it pertains to endpoint management.
- Ability to manage Android and iOS/iPadOS within Intune.
- Knowledge of and experience with Azure, Office 365 Administration, and client applications.
- Experience Supporting Data Encryption (BitLocker).
- Ability to communicate moderately difficult technical matters to internal customers.
- Experience managing MacOS in the Enterprise.
- Experience administering an Active Directory environment.
- SQL, IIS, WSUS, AD knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities of the Desired MS UEM Engineer:
- Performs assessment of current SCCM architecture with the intention of identifying issues related to design, health, and functionality.
- Designing, Planning, and Implementing a Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solution for our client.
- Testing and comparing VMware Workspace One and Microsoft Intune.
- Defines and develops policies, processes, and procedures.
- Management of site communications. (Bandwidth, Senders, Secondary Sites, etc.)
- Role-Based Administration: Managing custom roles and security scopes
- Planning, configuring, and implementing a backup plan to mitigate the loss of UEM services in case of a disaster with the least amount of data loss possible.
- Completely documents the newly implemented UEM infrastructure and architecture with guidance from the Senior Manager – Infrastructure.
- Develops reports using UEM data to assist in asset management activities.
- Delivers training to the primary users of UEM who will be deploying patches and applications on the configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting processes.
- Delivers training to the infrastructure team on the support needed to maintain the newly deployed UEM infrastructure if any.
- Analyzes current OSD methods and determines if UEM can be used to improve the current process.
- Implements Windows Autopilot for Windows 10/11 deployments in a Proof-of-Concept scenario to determine the best path forward for our client company.
