Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated & experienced Senior Technology Consultant to join one of our clients. The Senior Technology Consultant is expected to be able to assess, design, implement, and secure technology. They will work with the technical staff that works to configure, install, secure, and support IT environments of all sizes.
The Senior Technology Consultant is a client-focused position with technical subject matter expertise that includes traditional IT infrastructure as well as overall cloud architecture and deployment knowledge. Also, they want resources to use both creativity and analytical skills when writing documentation.
The Senior Technology Consultant should be able to understand client business processes and be able to align those with the technological strategic goals and objectives of the client’s customers.
Lastly, WME is looking for some exceptional communication & interpersonal skills in our new team members. The candidate’s toolbox must be complete and diverse. From being technically savvy to displaying a vigorous passion for learning beyond their traditional areas of expertise, they must prove to be an asset to the company.
Note: Typically they try not to have people travel 2 weeks in a row – they pay for travel hours as well.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
Technology Expertise:
The successful candidate should have a mastery of at least two of the following categories and will have extensive expertise in the technologies.
- Architect and implement Windows Server 2016 and 2019 environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Services\DFS, IIS, and Group Policy Objects\Hardening
- Ability to Follow a document and prove they completed those items.
- Proficient in Office 365 migration to ensure a smooth transition of data and services.
- Demonstrates strong Azure cloud platform expertise.
- Knowledgeable in AVD and Intune migration for seamless transitions to new environments.
- Experienced in Microsoft Teams Voice services.
- Architect, plan, and implement Microsoft Hyper-V and/or VMware vSphere environments.
- Architect, plan, and implement Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Virtual Networking solutions.
- Architecture, planning, and implementation of Microsoft 365 E-mail, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
- Architect and implement end-user virtual solutions including Remote Desktop Services (RDS), VMware Horizon View, and Azure Virtual Desktop
- Architect and implement backup technologies that are image and file-based. Disaster Recovery and replication technologies such as Veeam Enterprise, VMware Site Recovery Manager, or Azure Site Recovery.
- Microsoft Enterprise Management Tools such as Endpoint Manager (Intune). MEM experience is highly desirable.
Senior Consultant Experience
- Providing technical leadership of resources assigned to projects.
- Performing strategic technology assessments including data gathering, analysis, and recommendations.
- Aligning organization technology goals with business requirements
- Troubleshooting network and system issues
- Security best practices system hardening
- Working with clients in different vertical markets
- Interfacing with other 3rd party vendors, i.e., hardware, software, and service providers
- Working individually and as part of a team
- Interfacing with clients remotely, over the phone, and on-site
- Developing product and solution recommendations for deliverables and presales opportunities
- Budgeting and time estimation
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Experience 8 years+
- Certifications: Microsoft, VMware, Storage, Networking and Security (CISSP)
- Maintaining professional certifications and obtaining new certifications are required.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree is required.
