Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a Senior Security Education, Training & Awareness Analyst role. Ensuring the security of an organization’s systems, data, and assets requires not only advanced technology solutions but also an educated and aware workforce. The Senior Security Education, Training & Awareness Analyst is a critical role in developing and implementing comprehensive security training programs that help employees and other stakeholders understand the importance of cybersecurity and their role in maintaining it.

The ideal candidate for this position should have a college degree and 5+ years of Security Education, Training & Awareness experience. The Senior Security Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing security awareness and training programs for employees and other stakeholders, as well as creating and maintaining security training materials and other resources, such as videos, guides, and presentations.

They will also need to collaborate with internal teams, such as IT, HR, and legal, to ensure that security training aligns with company policies and regulations. That said, they will conduct evaluations and assessments of security training programs to measure their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

All in all, WME is looking for some exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in our new team member. The candidate’s toolbox must be diverse & complete. From being technically savvy to displaying a vigorous passion for learning beyond their traditional areas of expertise, the resource must prove to be an asset to the company.

Required SkillsQualifications/Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline from an accredited college or University required.
  • 5+ years of Security Education Training & Awareness experience.
  • Certification(s) in information technology (i.e., CISSP, CISM).
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Illustrator Photoshop)
  • Experience with learning content creation (e.g., Adobe Captivate, articulate)
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas.
  • Familiarity with various security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and COBIT.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting security risk assessments and developing risk management strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and trends in security incidents and threats.
  • Familiarity with social engineering tactics and techniques to develop effective awareness programs.
  • Experience in project management to effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of various training methodologies such as e-learning, classroom training, and on-the-job training to develop effective training programs.

Responsibilities of the Senior Security Education, Training & Awareness Analyst:

  • Develop and implement security awareness and training programs for employees and other stakeholders to ensure a culture of security awareness.
  • Create and maintain security training materials and other resources, such as videos, guides, and presentations, to educate employees and other stakeholders about cybersecurity best practices.
  • Design and develop e-learning courses using tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, etc. to provide interactive and engaging learning experiences.
  • Analyze security incidents and data to identify patterns and trends and develop training programs to address those trends.
  • Develop and deliver security training for employees on an ongoing basis, including onboarding training for new hires and refresher training for existing employees.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external security training providers to ensure access to the latest training resources and best practices.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and develop risk management strategies to identify and mitigate security risks within the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends and best practices to ensure that the organization’s security training program remains current and relevant.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on the effectiveness of the organization’s security training program to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the organization’s incident response team to ensure that security incident response plans are integrated into the overall security training program.
