Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated and experienced Security Architect Role with Microsoft security experience (Defender, Sentinel, etc.) to join one of our client companies for a 6-month long project.
You will be tasked with identifying security risks, defining security requirements, and developing and implementing appropriate security controls. Moreover, you will be responsible for staying up to date on the latest cloud security technologies, standards, and best practices and recommending innovative solutions that improve security posture and enable business agility.That said, you’ll work on cross-functional teams that include developers, site reliability engineers, and cloud administrators. A prior experience in administering and developing cloud solutions, with strong skills in GitHub is strongly preferred.
Also, the successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who can work independently without strict supervision and within deadlines. That said, the preferred candidate should expect to work 40 hours per week and should be flexible enough to work part-time hours as well.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology as its major coursework.
- Strong experience with Microsoft security tools like Defender, Sentinel, SIEM, etc.
- Proven track record in architecting secure computer systems.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with crafting custom security strategies.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with a cybersecurity team.
- Prior experience in safeguarding digital assets from cyber threats.
- Proficiency in analyzing and mitigating security vulnerabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for tackling security challenges.
- Effective communication to explain complex security concepts.
- Proper understanding of the latest cyber threats and trends.
- Background in creating and implementing security policies.
- Skill in evaluating and selecting security technologies.
- Strong attention to detail in designing secure architectures.
- Experience in conducting security assessments and audits.
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft security would be a plus.
Responsibilities of the Desired Security Architect:
- Delivers subject matter expertise in Security Engineering.
- Design and build robust security architectures using Microsoft tools like Defender and Sentinel.
- Lead the charge in identifying potential security risks and developing countermeasures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices throughout projects.
