Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated & experienced Network Engineer Role to join one of our valued clients for a migration implementation project. You will work under the leadership of the team lead to migrate the client’s existing client base into Azure from their Virtual Private Cloud.
The ideal candidate for this job will have a strong background in network and firewall management, as well as significant experience with Azure. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring network and firewall configurations, ensuring optimal performance and security. You will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining Azure Monitor to help identify and resolve potential issues.
As a network engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing the environment configuration and hierarchy, recommending network security groups (NSGs) and application security groups (ASGs), developing core Azure configuration in line with Zero Trust Standards, and developing an approach for network segmentation.

- Proficiency in Palo Alto network technologies.
- Expertise in Cisco Nexus devices and configurations.
- Competency in Cisco ASA firewall solutions.
- Familiarity with Meraki networking products and solutions.
- Possession of a CCMP Level certification or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Azure networking and cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Netscaler and F5 load balancer technologies.
- Experience with Virtual Netscaler configurations.
- Proficiency in VPN troubleshooting and configuration.
- Strong knowledge of BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
- Proficiency in network security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Ansible) for network tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving network-related issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities of the Desired Network Engineer:
- Design and maintain complex network configurations i.e. routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Ensure network security by implementing access controls and security policies.
- Monitor network performance and identify and resolve network-related problems.
- Collaborate with system administrators to support network connectivity for various applications.
- Configure VPNs and remote access solutions to ensure secure connectivity.
- Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades and expansion projects.
- Maintains network documentation i.e. network diagrams, configuration records, etc.
- Stay current with industry best practices.
- Conduct regular network assessments and audits to ensure compliance with standards.
- Provide technical support both on-site and remotely.
- Implement network backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate new network services.
- Train junior network engineers and team members.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other services.
