Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated and experienced Migration Liaison/Business Analyst Role to join one of our valued clients. This will be a 9-month long job that requires the selected resource to work at least 20 hours/week.

The candidate will work as a team lead/member and will be responsible for organizing and gathering technical data from meetings with the client, scheduling and submitting migration activity, communicating the progress of migrations both internally and externally, and updating relevant data for the AD Consolidation migrations of Applications, Servers, Users, and Workstations.

Moreover, the person will work closely with our client’s migration team to ensure timely activity and escalations where necessary. Additionally, this person will work with their project team and clients to ensure all the application servers have been identified. Also, the selected resource will conduct sessions with clients to discover more about the servers and how they authenticate, etc. The final product/output will be a migration schedule of when each server can be migrated, agreed to by the client.

That said, WME is looking for some exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in our new team member. The candidate’s toolbox must be complete and diverse. From being technically savvy to displaying a vigorous passion for learning beyond their traditional areas of expertise, the resource must prove to be an asset to the company.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Management, as its major coursework, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of technical experience – preferably in consulting 
  • Excel knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with gathering business requirements for migration purposes.
  • Familiarity with the platform Service-Now 
  • Sound organizational and people management skills 
  • Reasonable high-level technical knowledge of workstations, servers, databases, applications, and system environment concepts. 
  • Expert-level documentation skills.
  • Detail Oriented

Responsibilities of the Desired Migration Liaison/Business Analyst:

  • Ensures the completeness and coverage of all requirements (functional, non-functional, technical, and detailed data items)
  • Prepares test case material and ensures that test outputs meet requirements.
  • Produces and ensures the quality of all analysis outputs such as detailed data maps, business rules, mapping rules, functional specifications, interface specifications, use cases, test cases, etc.
  • Identifies the purpose of the transition.
  • determines what functional or business need drives the migration and which outcomes the client needs to achieve, and then documents the objectives.
  • Identifies data sources, locations, systems, access orders, etc.
  • Identifies the target system and what will be stored in ERP vs CRM?
  • Defines the import & export format and the transformation process.
  • Documents detailed mappings and transformations from the consolidated data set in separate reports.
  • Works closely with the Senior BA and Project Manager to schedule analysis activities and milestones.
  • Liaises between Technology teams (IT Systems, Global and Business Intelligence) and Senior Business Analyst
  • Supervises data migration mapping between source and target systems.
  • Provides people leadership for multiple, diverse, and cross-functional teams and individuals.
  • Understands and presents a technical vision and solutions in the form of modules, customizations, and integrations.
  • Ensures timely resolution of problems.
