Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for an experienced Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, for one of our valuable clients, who has requested assistance building a data platform for FinOps to help monitor and manage costs. The client has a robust and mature GCP presence and struggles to manage costs. They have utilized resource tagging and other measures but require assistance collecting and aggregating the data.
WME will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to maintain high-quality customer experience. The individual must have technical expertise, passion for learning beyond their JDs and a thorough understanding of business processes.
Required Experience:
- Google Big Query: 3-5 years of experience developing star schema data warehouses in Big Query
- Google Cloud Storage: 3-5 years of experience ingesting data into Cloud Storage for Big Query
- Google Data Technologies: 3 years of experience with the following:
- DAGs (Composer)
- Dataflows
- Control-M
- Python Frameworks
- Pub/Sub
- Hands on and deep experience working with other Google Data Products (e.g. Dataflow, Dataproc, AI Building Blocks, Looker, Cloud Data Fusion, Dataprep, etc.)..
- Regulatory and Compliance work in Data Management.
Preferred Skills/Experiences:
- Understanding of UNIX and GNU/Linux systems.
- Knowledge of how to maintain ETLs operating on a variety of structured and unstructured sources.
- Experience in Spark (Scala/Python/Java) and Kafka.
- Fundamentals of Kafka to handle real-time data feeds.
- Understanding of how to use Kafka with Hadoop.
- Experience in MDM, Metadata Management, Data Quality and Data Lineage tools.
- E2E Data Engineering and Lifecycle (including non-functional requirements and operations) management.
- E2E Solution Design skills – Prototyping, Usability testing and data visualization literacy.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL modern data stores.
