Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for a motivated and experienced Endpoint Security Engineer Role to join one of our valued clients. To deserve this role, you should have a strong technical background in endpoint security solutions. You should also have attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.
The candidate selected for this job will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of all endpoints within the organization. This will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining endpoint security policies, procedures, and technologies that mitigate risks and protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
That said, you will also provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders on endpoint security matters and collaborate with other IT teams and business units to ensure the alignment of endpoint security with overall IT and business goals.
You should have expertise in endpoint security solutions such as antivirus, intrusion detection/prevention, and endpoint detection and response tools. That said, you should be familiar with security policies, standards, and regulatory compliance requirements such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with Computer Science, or Software Engineering as its major coursework, or equivalent experience.
- Outstanding knowledge and technical proficiency in managing an Endpoint Security Solution.
- Experience with vulnerability management and patch management tools to ensure timely security updates to endpoints.
- Familiarity with endpoint hardening techniques, such as disabling unnecessary services, implementing least privilege access, and enforcing password policies.
- Experience with endpoint forensics and incident response, including data analysis, malware identification, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of cloud endpoint security, including securing endpoints in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with endpoint backup and recovery solutions to ensure business continuity in case of a disaster or endpoint failure.
- Familiarity with endpoint virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Ability to perform endpoint risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans.
- Experience with endpoint threat modeling and security testing methodologies to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
- Strong grip on standard client/server, Networking, and Internet fundamentals.
- Ability to create, troubleshoot, and run PowerShell scripts as it pertains to endpoint management.
- Ability to communicate moderately difficult technical matters to internal customers.

Responsibilities of the Endpoint Security Engineer:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of endpoint security policies and procedures.
- Manage and monitor endpoint security tools and technologies to ensure the security and compliance of endpoints.
- Act as a subject matter expert for endpoint security in regulatory compliance audits and assessments.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to ensure the alignment of endpoint security with overall IT and business goals.
- Develop and maintain metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of endpoint security controls.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and help them develop their skills.
- Perform regular security audits and assessments of endpoint infrastructure to identify and mitigate risks.
- Conduct research and evaluate emerging endpoint security technologies and solutions to enhance the organization’s security posture.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures for endpoint security incidents.
- Provide technical expertise and support to internal stakeholders on endpoint security matters.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in endpoint security and incorporate them into the organization’s security program.
- Provide regular status reports and updates on endpoint security projects to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships for endpoint security tools and services and ensure their performance meets service level agreements (SLAs).
- Provides people leadership for multiple, diverse, and cross-functional teams and individuals.
- Understands and presents a technical vision and solutions in the form of modules, customizations, and integrations.
