Windows Management Experts (WME) is looking for two motivated and experienced Azure Senior Consultant Roles to join one of our client companies. The candidate should be a full Azure Engineer and their primary responsibility will be to manage and remediate our client’s Azure related matters. Their responsibilities may also include deploying and configuring virtual machines, storage solutions, network components, and other Azure services.

The candidate should have strong expertise in Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and PowerShell scripting to automate deployment and management tasks. They should also be familiar with Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment.

That said, they should have experience with Azure security and compliance i.e. Azure Security Center, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Information Protection. They should be able to design secure Azure architectures, conduct security assessments, and implement security policies and procedures.

The candidate should also be familiar with Azure monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Application Insights, etc. to ensure the high availability of the Azure infrastructure.

Lastly, the successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who can work effectively in dynamic conditions and within deadlines. That said, the preferred candidate should expect to work 40 hours per week and should be flexible enough to work part-time hours as well.  Note: The option for temp-to-perm is available for these openings.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology as its major coursework.
  • In-depth experience with Azure environment assessments and design.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
  • Proficient in using Terraform for infrastructure as code deployments.
  • Familiarity with networking capabilities, specifically Azure Landing Zones.
  • Experience working with government and commercial clients, especially GCCI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring smooth Azure infrastructure operations and project delivery.
  • Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams in a consulting environment.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale cloud migrations.
  • Knowledge of security & compliance standards applicable to the cloud.
  • Experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic, changing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership in technical decision-making.
  • High adaptability to new technologies and challenges.

Responsibilities of the Desired Azure Senior Consultant:

  • Conduct initial assessments of their existing Azure environments.
  • Design custom Azure solutions to meet specific client needs.
  • Build and configure Azure Landing Zones for enhanced networking.
  • Implement and manage cloud solutions using Terraform.
  • Guide clients through the Cloud Adoption Framework to optimize cloud integration.
  • Provide strategic advice on cloud adoption, scalability, and management.
  • Ensure compliance with both govt. and commercial regulations in client environments.
  • Deliver training & support to clients on Azure best practices.
  • Manage timelines, resources, and risks for cloud projects.
  • Enhance system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Azure updates and new technologies.
  • Develop scripts and tools to automate cloud deployment and management tasks.
  • Offer post-deployment support and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on cloud solution status to upper management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and other teams to ensure effective communication, coordination, and successful delivery of Azure infrastructure projects.
