Position: Accounting/Finance Staff Trainee- Remote
We are seeking a recent graduate (male or female) with a BS in Accountancy who has successfully passed the CPA board exam. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to grow in an accounting career, adaptable, and possesses a positive, can-do attitude.
Proficiency in English and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. You will receive cross-training from our Senior Accounting Staff and have the opportunity to collaborate with other members of the management team. The duration of this position is up to 6 to 12 months and has a path to permanently being hired as full time Accounting Staff depending on the work performance.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who can work effectively in dynamic conditions and within deadlines. That said, the preferred candidate should expect to work 40 hours per week and should be flexible enough to work part-time hours as well.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, CPA preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (knowledge of QBO is a plus)
- Strong math skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Willingness to travel if necessary
- Experience with Avionte software is a plus, but not required
- Self-Starter, quick to adopt & to learn with little guidance
- Must be willing to work Monday to Friday under US EST Time, which is nighttime in Manila from 9 PM to 4:00 AM.
- Must have own access to high-speed internet and power backup.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update accounting records and files
- Process Payroll Bi-weekly
- Analyze budgets and create expense reports
- Handle tax payments and returns
- Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger
- Reconcile bank statements and conduct month-end/year-end closures
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
- Advise clients on financial issues via email or phone
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations
- Guide financial decisions by establishing and enforcing financial policies
- Oversee the accounting department, including budget preparation
- Cultivate banking and insurance relationships
- Motivate and lead a high-performance finance team
- Handling all State Tax Compliance Issues
- To manage our general accounting and financial processes.
- Responsible for all daily accounting transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting administrative duties, ensuring that our company’s finances run smoothly.
- All other key responsibilities are subject to change per business demand as needed.
